What’s the Opportunity?
We are looking for a visionary Senior Product Manager to own the Pix domain. Pix is the crown jewel of the Brazilian payment ecosystem, and at dLocal, it is one of our most demanded products for the world’s largest global brands.
You will lead the end-to-end strategy and development of our Pix offering, ensuring dLocal remains an early adopter of innovation rather than a laggard. This is a B2B-focused role where you will manage the product for massive global merchants, requiring a deep understanding of high-volume payment flows and the unique needs of enterprise-level clients.
Your domain will encompass the full Pix lifecycle, including:
Core Banking & Connectivity: Directing the core banking structure, fund movements, and managing the technical and regulatory relationship with the Central Bank of Brazil (BCB) and PSTI.
Advanced Functionalities: Leading the rollout and optimization of Pix Automático, Pix with Biometrics (JSR), Regulatory requirements, such as Infractions and MEDs, plus have awareness and a firm understanding of BCB’s Roadmap and the regulatory framework behind the local payment method.
Open Finance Integration: Bridging Pix with Open Finance, focusing on Payment Initiation (PISP) and non-redirect flows to create frictionless checkout experiences.
Handle both Collections and Payouts: Managing the complexities of both payins (collection) and payouts (disbursements) to ensure a seamless circular economy for our merchants.
B2B Expertise: Understanding the specific needs of the biggest global merchants who offer Pix in Brazil, ensuring our infrastructure supports high-scale B2B payment operations.
High-Touch Merchant Support: Providing expert guidance to merchants by clearly communicating and translating complex regulatory, business, and technical Pix requirements into actionable solutions.
What will I be doing?
Strategy & P&L Ownership: Own the vision, strategy, and P&L for Pix, driving the economic behavior and profitability of the product.
Regulatory & Compliance Leadership: Navigate the Central Bank of Brazil’s regulatory landscape (including CADOC reporting) to ensure dLocal operates as a best-in-class participant.
Merchant Communication at Scale: Act as a key technical and business advisor for our global merchants, explaining complex concepts in a foreign language.
Tailor-Made Solutions: Lead the discovery and delivery of bespoke Pix solutions designed for the specific needs of elite B2B partners.
Innovation & AI Integration: Actively research and implement AI-driven optimizations using tools like Claude to automate operations and scale product delivery.
Engineering Partnership: Partner deeply with Engineering on event-driven systems, data pipelines, and high-availability architecture.
What skills do I need?
Experience: 5+ years of PM experience in payments, fintech, or core banking. Direct experience with Brazil’s instant payment ecosystem (Pix) is mandatory.
B2B Background: Proven track record in the B2B payments space, managing products for large-scale enterprise merchants.
Pix Expertise: Expert knowledge of BCB regulations, Pix Features, and the broader Brazilian financial system.
Technical Fluency: Deep understanding of API design, messaging queues, and the technical infrastructure required for real-time settlement.
AI Adopter: High proficiency in navigating multiple AI tools (e.g., Claude) to enhance productivity and product quality.
Data-Driven: Proficient with Data Analysis tools to analyze performance and economic behaviors.
Communication: Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal) are a must for high-touch merchant interaction. Fluency in Spanish is highly preferred.
