About the Role
We are seeking an SAP ABAP Developer to design, enhance, and support custom development across SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, and integrated systems. You will work across a mixture of implementation, enhancement, and support engagements, delivering high‑quality technical solutions aligned with SAP development standards.
This role involves working closely with functional consultants, architects, and integration teams to deliver clean, efficient, future‑proof ABAP code.
This position is open to candidates based in the Philippines (remote) and requires working Australian and New Zealand business hours.
Your tasks and responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ABAP objects including reports, enhancements (BAdIs/Exits), OData services, CDS views, workflows, forms, and interfaces.
- Develop ABAP‑based integrations to S/4HANA, BTP, CPI, and external systems.
- Build CDS views for analytical and transactional scenarios within S/4HANA.
- Develop and maintain SAP Fiori elements apps backed by OData services.
- Analyse functional requirements and translate them into high‑quality technical specifications.
- Perform unit testing, debugging, performance optimisation, and issue resolution.
- Support S/4HANA upgrades, release changes, and technical cutover activities.
- Follow clean‑core development principles to minimise customisation footprint.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure cohesive end‑to‑end solution delivery.
Your qualifications and experience
- Strong hands‑on experience developing with SAP ABAP (RICEF + OData).
- Experience with ABAP in SAP S/4HANA environments, including CDS, AMDP, RAP, and embedded analytics.
- Practical experience with OData service development and integration to Fiori applications.
- Strong understanding of performance optimisation, debugging, and code quality standards.
- Experience with Git‑enabled CTS, DevOps tools, and modern ABAP development workflows.
- 3+ years ABAP development experience (S/4HANA experience preferred).
Nice to have:
- Experience with SAP BTP services including CAP, API Management, and Integration Suite.
- Exposure to SuccessFactors, Ariba, or other cloud product integrations.
- SAP ABAP development certification.
