About the Role:
We are seeking a Workday Operations Senior Associate to join our HRIS team. This role will provide advanced expertise in Workday configuration, security, documentation, and administration of HR systems, ensuring secure, compliant, and efficient operations. You will play a critical role in strengthening Workday processes, reinforcing governance, and preparing HR systems for AI‑driven transformation. This internal position is designed to embed within our team, challenge existing design decisions, and align HR technology with leading practices and organizational priorities.
This position offers the opportunity to shape the future of our HR technology environment during a critical transformation period. You’ll strengthen governance, streamline processes, and prepare HR systems for AI‑driven innovation while working closely with HR and business teams.
Responsibilities:
- System configuration: Audit, configure, and maintain Workday security groups, role‑based access controls, organizational hierarchies, and reporting structures.
- Workflow optimization: Configure and streamline Workday business processes to improve efficiency and compliance.
- System maintenance: Apply patches, test new features, and implement enhancements in collaboration with stakeholders.
- AI readiness: Assess and prepare Workday and related HR systems for AI and automation initiatives, ensuring data quality and accessibility.
- Governance: Maintain consistency across HR processes, safeguarding compliance and data integrity.
- Documentation: Create clear, standardized records of configurations, workflows, and processes to support transparency and scalability.
- Collaboration: Partner with HR Operations to streamline employee lifecycle events and support HR teams with functional training and troubleshooting.
- Administration of other HR systems: Act as the functional specialist for HR systems outside of Workday, supporting HR teams in effective use and evolution of these platforms, while coordinating with IT for technical management.
- Technical support: Provide technical support to HR stakeholders, conduct root‑cause analysis, and act as a point of escalation for complex system issues.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with Workday HCM, including security groups, business processes, and workflows.
- Strong knowledge of organizational structures, cost centers, and HR lifecycle processes.
- Experience administering other HR systems and supporting cross‑platform consistency.
- Proven ability to lead process improvement initiatives and challenge existing design decisions.
- Hands‑on experience with Workday modules: HCM, Talent, Time Off & Absences.
- Technical proficiency in: BPs configuration, security groups, calculated fields, basic reporting, T&A configuration and EIBs.
- Familiarity with data security and privacy regulations (GDPR, SOC2).
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Excellent documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Foundational understanding of AI concepts and how they can enhance HR processes.
- Proficient level of English.
