Job Summary
This is a highly sensitive and mission‑critical role with admin‑level access to the core platform. The ideal professional is exceptionally reliable, security‑minded, technically strong, and trustworthy, ensuring the stability, performance, and resilience of cloud infrastructure supporting large‑scale production systems.
You will lead cloud operations, infrastructure automation, observability, and performance optimization across AWS environments, ensuring secure, cost‑efficient, and scalable solutions.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure including ECS (Fargate & EC2), EC2, RDS/Aurora, S3, IAM, ALB/NLB, Route 53, CloudFront, and WAF;
- Design, deploy, and maintain Infrastructure as Code using AWS CloudFormation;
- Own and enhance CI/CD pipelines using CircleCI or similar tools, including automated deployments, rollback strategies, and environment versioning;
- Implement and maintain observability frameworks leveraging tools such as New Relic and Splunk for monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response;
- Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks across databases, services, network layers, and workloads;
- Lead AWS cost‑optimization initiatives, ensuring performance and reliability remain uncompromised;
- Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering, architecture, and operations teams to support deployments, troubleshoot issues, and evolve platform capabilities;
- Ensure best‑in‑class security practices for sensitive production environments, including IAM hardening and compliance with internal controls.
Essential Skills
- Expertise with ECS (Fargate & EC2), EC2, RDS/Aurora, S3, IAM, ALB/NLB, Route 53, CloudFront, and WAF;
- Strong experience with CloudFormation for managing AWS infrastructure;
- Hands-on experience with CircleCI or similar tools, including deployment automation and rollback strategies;
- Proficiency with monitoring and logging tools like New Relic, and Splunk;
- Ability to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in database queries, configurations, and infrastructure;
- Experience reducing AWS costs while maintaining or improving system reliability and performans.
Highly Desirable Skills
- Hands-on experience operating Amazon Aurora MySQL/Postgres in production environments, including version upgrade procedures, performance tuning, and troubleshooting;
- Strong understanding of Aurora architecture, read replicas, automated backups, point-in-time recovery, failover mechanisms, and high availability patterns;
- Proven track record performing database version upgrades in production with minimal downtime, including compatibility testing, replication management, and performance validation.
