Job Summary
As a Senior Cloud Engineer - Azure (20691), you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient software applications. Your role will involve leading technical projects, mentoring junior engineers, and continuously improving software development practices to ensure the delivery of robust and reliable software systems.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure using cloud-native and serverless architectures
- Develop and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform, ensuring consistency, governance, and scalability across environments
- Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines and automation processes to support cloud deployments, API management, and platform services
- Ensure operational excellence by implementing monitoring, observability, and performance optimization using tools such as Azure Monitor and New Relic
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 8–10+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Platform Engineering roles
- 5+ years of hands-on experience working with Microsoft Azure cloud services
- Strong experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code, including modules, state management, and multi-environment deployments
- Hands-on experience with Azure services such as API Management (APIM), Azure Functions, App Services, Storage, and networking components
- Strong knowledge of Azure networking including VNets, subnets, NSGs, private endpoints, DNS, and security configurations
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
- Experience with observability tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, and New Relic
- Experience with artifact repositories such as Nexus and dependency management practices
- Strong scripting skills using Bash, PowerShell, or Python and ability to automate operational processes
