Job Summary
As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (20669), you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient software applications. Your role will involve leading technical projects, mentoring junior engineers, and continuously improving software development practices to ensure the delivery of robust and reliable software systems.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of data platforms built on Azure and Databricks
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated deployment processes
- Monitor systems, manage incidents, and drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with data and platform teams to optimize performance, cost efficiency, and release management processes
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Cloud Engineering roles
- Strong SQL skills for querying, optimization, and troubleshooting data issues
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services including compute, storage, networking, and containers
- Experience working with Databricks including Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and data platform components
- Strong experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
- Experience provisioning and managing infrastructure using Terraform
- Strong knowledge of incident management, monitoring, and release management practices
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments
