Equivity is seeking an experienced Remote Bankruptcy Paralegal to support attorneys handling both consumer and business bankruptcy matters, including Chapters 7, 11, and 13.
This is a W-2 remote position offering competitive hourly compensation and the opportunity to work across varied bankruptcy matters in a fast-moving, client-driven environment. Candidates must be comfortable operating independently while maintaining high standards of responsiveness and accuracy
What You’ll Do
Draft and file Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 petitions, schedules, statements, and related pleadings
Support Chapter 11 matters, including preparation of voluntary petitions, schedules, statements of financial affairs, monthly operating reports, disclosure statements, and plans of reorganization (Subchapter 5 experience strongly preferred)
Prepare means tests, repayment plans, reaffirmation agreements, amendments, and related filings
Prepare complete 341 meeting and hearing packets, including trustee-required documentation, and ensure all required materials are submitted timely
Communicate with clients, trustees, courts, and creditors to collect documents and move cases forward
Use platforms such as BestCase and Clio to maintain case accuracy and track progress
Stay ahead of deadlines and ensure cases run smoothly from start to finish

Requirements
About You
Minimum 3 years of recent bankruptcy paralegal experience
Direct experience with Chapters 7 and 13 required
Chapter 11 experience required; Subchapter 5 strongly preferred
Proficiency with BestCase, Clio, Microsoft Office, and Adobe
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple cases independently in a remote environment
Professional home office setup
