Everlaw is seeking a visionary Principal Product Designer to define the future of our AI-powered litigation platform and shape how we build products. This is a critical leadership role where you will pioneer elegant, breakthrough AI experiences that drive meaningful value for our users and business. You will establish principled frameworks for human-AI collaboration, architect durable systems that scale, and influence company strategy through design excellence and leadership.At Everlaw, our mission is to promote justice by illuminating truth. We help legal teams across law firms, government agencies, corporations and nonprofits sift through millions of documents to uncover critical evidence in high-stakes litigation and investigations. It’s a multi-billion dollar space, and we approach it with advanced technology and thoughtful design. We work with all 50 state Attorneys General and hundreds of law firms on some of the most high-profile cases litigated today.
The Product Design team is at the forefront of this mission, transforming complex, high-stakes workflows into experiences that are intuitive, powerful, and distinctly human. In your role, you’ll…
- Drive strategic vision: Lead high-impact, ambiguous initiatives that unlock new value by delivering best-in-class experience for our users. Architect a long-term vision connecting user behavior, legal workflows and market dynamics.
- Define AI excellence in product: Establish industry-leading AI design patterns for high-stakes legal workflows. Define guardrails for control, confidence, transparency, privacy, and security.
- Shape AI organizational influence: Influence how AI informs discovery, prioritization, and experience development across the organization, ensuring alignment with brand and quality standards.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with senior Product and Engineering leaders to frame complex challenges, clarify tradeoffs, anticipate risks, and guide strategic decisions.
- Evolve the Craft: Influence org-wide design tooling, workflows, and standards, including influencing Bluebook Design System interactions, outstanding visuals, and motion design principles.
- Mentorship: Model a strong feedback culture, sponsoring growth opportunities for designers, elevating team collaboration and setting craft standards.
- Advocacy: Represent Everlaw internally and externally, and help set the standards for design in the Legal Tech industry.
About you
- 10+ years of Product Design experience with a track record of leading complex, high-impact initiatives that uncovered new value for the business.
- 2+ years experience shipping AI-powered experiences with strong intuition around transparency and trust.
- BA/BS degree in graphic design, design communication, human-computer interaction, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated ability to define product vision and influence org level strategy.
- Experience designing for data intensive, B2B SaaS, enterprise or regulated domains.
- Portfolio demonstrating strength in product thinking, interaction and visual design.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively driving alignment across senior Product and Engineering leaders.
- Exceptional storytelling and communication skills.
- Demonstrated mentorship and influence across design orgs.
Work authorization
- You are authorized to work in the United States without restrictions. Please note that at this time, Everlaw is not sponsoring F-1 visas, including OPT, for this role.

- The expected salary range for this role is between $229,000 - $290,000. The final offered salary will be dependent upon many factors including the candidate’s experience and skills. The base pay range is subject to change in the future.
