Job description
We’re looking for a Graphic Designer who knows how to make design work _hard_ — clear, creative, and on-brand every time. You’ll be part of a small marketing team that actually enjoys what it does, shaping how First Focus looks and feels across presentations, campaigns, and everything in between.
If you can turn a dull PowerPoint deck into something sleek and persuasive, you’ll be everyone’s new favourite person. You’ll also be using AI design tools to speed up workflows and experiment with ideas — we’re not afraid of tech here, and we love people who use it smartly.
This isn’t a production line role. You’ll have the freedom to suggest, improve, and build a brand that feels both professional and human.
At First Focus, our values aren’t posters on a wall — they guide how we work every day. We live curiously, communicate openly, and collaborate to create smart, simple solutions that wow our customers. Learn more about us here.
What You’ll Be Doing
Enhance and evolve our brand guidelines to keep things fresh and consistent
Design and produce visuals that tell our story across digital and print
Create standout PowerPoint templates and presentations for internal and client use
Apply branding consistently across proposals, templates, and internal materials
Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to manage and prioritise design requests
Use AI design tools (like Adobe Firefly, Midjourney, or Canva Magic Studio) to speed up creative workflows
Share ideas, suggest new approaches, and help others understand brand application
Stay on top of design and tech trends and spot new ways to make our visuals sing
Strong PowerPoint skills — design, layout, animation, storytelling
Comfortable using AI design tools to create efficient, high-quality outcomes
Excellent English communication skills — written and verbal
Proven experience as a Graphic Designer with a solid portfolio
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
Strong grasp of branding, composition, and typography
Detail-oriented, collaborative, and organised
Able to juggle multiple design requests and still hit deadlines
Willing to work hybrid and on a day-shift schedule
Hybrid work setup — because we trust you to deliver
Take a paid study day each month, up to ten per year, to keep learning
Comprehensive HMO coverage for you and one dependent from Day 1, including dental
Ongoing training with guaranteed pay rises for completing certifications — exams fully covered
Loyalty profit share (conditions apply)
Mental health support and team events that don’t feel like forced fun
Referral bonuses for bringing other awesome humans aboard
Flexible leave and a genuinely good work-life balance
Opportunities for local leadership, internal mobility, and regional projects within First Focus
Neurodiversity
We know great design brains don’t all work the same way — and that’s a strength. Whether you’re autistic, ADHD, dyslexic, or just wired a bit differently, you’re welcome here. If you need adjustments to the hiring or work process, we’ll make it work together.
We hire humans for their ideas, integrity, and attitude, not because they fit a box.
