About the Role
FleishmanHillard is seeking a dynamic Senior Vice President to lead and grow our Consumer Media Relations offering across multiple flagship, high-profile clients. This leader will oversee integrated earned media programs for major consumer brands spanning lifestyle, CPG, retail, entertainment, and/or consumer tech.
The ideal candidate is a modern media strategist with exceptional relationships, a deep understanding of cultural relevance, and a passion for building high-performing teams.

What You’ll Do
Lead High-Impact Media Strategy Across Multiple Clients
- Drive consumer earned media strategy, planning, and execution across several major accounts.
- Guide teams to deliver measurable outcomes—elevating brand visibility, increasing positive share of voice, and driving culturally resonant storytelling.
- Build breakthrough campaigns that integrate earned, influencer, social, content, and paid channels.
Build and Leverage Top-Tier Media Relationships
- Maintain exceptional relationships with lifestyle, entertainment, consumer tech, national news, morning shows, digital-first outlets, and creator-driven platforms.
- Secure high-impact coverage by engaging directly with reporters, editors, producers, and creators.
- Navigate the modern consumer media ecosystem, including emerging platforms (Substack, newsletters, podcasts, TikTok-native storytellers).
Lead, Mentor & Inspire Teams
- Manage and develop teams across multiple workstreams; set standards for excellence and innovation.
- Ensure staffing alignment, workload balance, and quality across accounts.
- Provide trusted senior-level counsel to clients and internal partners.
Drive Integrated Collaboration
- Partner with influencer, strategy, content, paid, and analytics teams to deliver cohesive, insight-driven programs.
- Champion consumer earned media best practices across the agency and identify emerging trends to keep clients ahead of the curve.
What You Bring
- Deep experience in consumer media relations, ideally supporting multiple large brands or complex portfolios.
- Strong command of cultural insights, consumer trends, and the shifting media landscape.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage large-scale, integrated communications programs.
- Exceptional writing, storytelling, and editorial judgment.
- A track record of securing top-tier coverage through direct media engagement.
- Agency experience strongly preferred; senior-level client leadership required.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at navigating fast-moving environments.

- The anticipated salary range for a Vice President position is 110,000- $231,000.
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications and geography. A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off and/or other benefits also are available.
