Forage

We started Forage in 2020 to build modern payments infrastructure. We help merchants like grocers, convenience retailers, and delivery apps accept government benefits such as SNAP EBT and EBT Cash payments.

Our single API works for both online and in-store transactions, connecting merchants, shoppers, and the U.S. government. We aim to expand access to groceries for the 42 million Americans who rely on government assistance.

Our tech stack includes Python, Django, PostgreSQL, NodeJS, TypeScript, AWS, and SDKs.

Our mission is to build financial and technological infrastructure that gives families access to government benefits and helps feed those in need.

Our compensation packages include equity participation and a benefits package on top of base salary. Base salaries for some roles range from $145,000 to $190,000 USD.

We’re a remote-first company, but we offer regular team lunches at our San Francisco office. We also foster a fun, caring environment that values transparency, growth, and ownership, and we ensure our work makes a positive impact on society.
