We are an online marketplace connecting business owners with pre-qualified virtual assistants, freelancers, and agencies. We specialize in talent for eCommerce, digital marketing, and web development, covering over 85 skill sets. We vet thousands of applicants weekly, accepting only the top 1% into our network after interviews. Our freelancers offer services at fixed or hourly rates, typically $5 to $75+ per hour. Clients can submit a request and we’ll introduce them to a matching freelancer within hours, usually within one business day. We provide ²⁴⁄₇ freelancer and client support. We also offer a turnover protection policy: if a freelancer quits, we replace them and cover the replacement costs. Nathan Hirsch and Connor Gillivan founded FreeUp in 2015 after struggling with inefficient hiring marketplaces for their own eCommerce business. We started as a marketplace for Amazon freelancers. By mid-2016, we expanded to cover all eCommerce platforms. In 2017, we added digital marketers and web developers due to client demand, growing to over 5,000 clients. We launched fixed pricing and a new software redesign in 2019. FreeUp was acquired by The HOTH, a growth marketing company, in 2019. We have served over 20,000 businesses.
