Job Description

The Senior Director, Corporate Strategy & BizOps, is a senior leader within Freshworks’ global Strategy organization and a core member of the Global Leadership Team (GLT). Reporting directly to the VP of Strategy, this leader shapes and drives Freshworks’ most critical, company-defining priorities while partnering closely with the CEO, CFO, and Executive Leadership Team.

You’ll join an established but rapidly growing Strategy team that is well-resourced and positioned as a central talent hub for the company. You’ll work with and lead teams of ex-strategy consultants, partnering closely with leaders who bring top-tier consulting experience. This role combines board-level strategic thinking with hands-on operational delivery, all within a modern SaaS environment that offers limited travel and the full spectrum of tech-company perks.

You will oversee a high-impact strategy team, collaborate deeply with counterparts in India, and operate with visibility and influence across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Freshworks’ most important strategic initiatives, tackling enterprise-level problems that shape long-term direction.
  • Serve as a senior thought partner to the VP of Strategy and Executive Leadership Team, influencing decisions at the CEO/CFO level.
  • Lead, scale, and develop a high-performing team of strategy talent, including ex-consultants, fostering a culture of analytical rigor and operational excellence.
  • Partner across geographies—including India Strategy teams and global functional leaders—to ensure alignment, clarity, and impact.
  • Develop board-level, investor-facing, and executive strategy materials that articulate Freshworks’ narrative.
  • Drive market, competitive, and financial analysis, including scenario modeling, investment evaluations, and business case development.
  • Translate strategy into execution by scoping initiatives, defining milestones, and ensuring outcomes are delivered.

Please note this is a hybrid role with onsite expectations of 3x/week (Tuesday - Thursday) from our San Mateo, CA headquarters.

Qualifications

  • 10-15 years of professional experience in strategy, management consulting, corporate strategy, or operating leadership roles
  • Proven ability to engage, influence, and advise senior executives
  • Deep analytical skills with the ability to translate data into insights and action
  • Strong financial modeling and strategic business case development experience
  • Demonstrated success managing and developing high-performing strategy or consulting teams
  • Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and shift between strategic design and hands-on execution
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder leadership
  • Background in SaaS or technology business strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA strongly preferred

Additional Information

The annual base salary range for this position is $260,000 - $370,000. This role is also eligible for a target bonus.

Compensation is based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to location, experience, job-related skills, and level.
