About WalkMe
We founded WalkMe in 2011 to create the first Digital Adoption Platform (DAP). Our platform simplifies user experiences and increases enterprise productivity by adding an invisible layer of visual cues and personalized content on top of websites or enterprise software, providing real-time contextual guidance. Thousands of enterprises globally use our platform across various industries for onboarding, training, and improving overall productivity.
Our DAP overlays on any application to identify workflow inefficiencies and provide personalized guidance and automation. It gives organizations full visibility into software usage and automates experiences to manage change effectively. Our platform is accessible on desktop, mobile, and web.
We apply our solutions in several key areas:
- Sales: Accelerating sales, improving forecasting, and ensuring data integrity.
- HR: Enhancing onboarding, improving compliance, and automating tasks.
- IT: Gaining software visibility, uncovering user friction, and driving adoption.
- Customer Care: Ensuring proficiency, managing software changes, and proactively resolving issues.
We’ve expanded our capabilities through acquisitions over the years, including Abbi and Jaco in 2017 (for mobile and analytics), DeepUI in 2018 (for AI and UI Intelligence), and Zest in 2021 (for document and record retrieval from the cloud). In 2019, Gartner created the Digital Adoption Solutions (DAS) category. We also launched WalkMe Workstation in 2020, bringing our experience to the desktop, and achieved FedRAMP Ready status in 2023.
We serve approximately 1600 customers, including 27% of the Fortune 500, with 35 million users in over 42 countries. We became a public company, listing on the Nasdaq stock exchange in 2021. We are now part of SAP, maintaining our legal entity until at least 2028.
Mission & Values
Our mission is to simplify digital adoption for employees and customers while increasing enterprise productivity. Our vision is to transform how people use technology to be more productive.
Our core values guide how we work and interact:
- Work as One WalkMe: We value diversity, respect differences, communicate authentically and transparently, seek help when needed, and work flexibly as one team.
- Take Ownership: We recognize our individual impact on customer value and stakeholders. We are strategic and proactive, set clear expectations, follow through, and hold ourselves and others accountable.
- Own the Outcome: We take full responsibility for the end result, are proactive, adapt when plans change, learn from experiences, and strive for better results.
- Act with Empathy: We show empathy and respect, understand others, recognize accomplishments, celebrate uniqueness, create space for community, acknowledge intent and impact, and resolve challenges with compassion.
- Embrace a Growth Mindset: We continuously improve, develop strategy through questioning and feedback, enable change, and innovate by exploring new possibilities.
Team & Culture
We employ over 900 individuals across our global offices. We cultivate a culture of innovation, collaboration, and growth, where we welcome and celebrate curiosity, new ideas, and diverse backgrounds. We operate as a meritocracy, encouraging every team member to contribute, voice their opinions, and make a personal impact on our business’s future.
We are committed to building a diverse workforce that reflects our global community and clients. We strive for an inclusive workplace where all team members can develop meaningful careers. Our interview process typically includes: a recruiter interview, an AI assignment, a manager interview, a panel interview, a ‘WalkMe Way’ culture-fit interview, and a reference check before an offer.
We encourage employees to grow their skills through coaching, varied experiences, and pursuing development goals. We support belonging through Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) like Women@WalkMe, Thrive with WalkMe (for individuals with disabilities and neurodiverse team members), Parents & Caregivers, and WalkMe + Me (for LGBTQIA+ team members and allies).
We primarily operate under a hybrid work arrangement, requiring most team members to be in the office three days a week. Exceptions are made for customer sites or events. This arrangement promotes collaboration, coaching, and peer mentoring.
