Acquired by Donut in 2024, our platform lets you create and host online gatherings, including routine meetings, workshops, and group learning sessions. Our goal is to make virtual interactions more engaging and effective for remote-first and flexible teams, helping facilitators and participants make the most of their remote time together.

We provide an agenda builder, hundreds of activities and templates, and engagement tools. These include dynamic video chat, Q&A, quizzes, and over a dozen other ways for participants to interact. You can use features like breakout rooms, group share, Q&A, screen share, photo booth, YouTube player, polls, quizzes, flash cards, and reflections.

Teams at organizations like Target, Gusto, Calendly, and Cisco use our platform. We help facilitate virtual events such as all-hands meetings, community building, new hire onboarding, team meetings, workshops, and celebrations. Hosts can use features like seamless presentation mode with multiple layouts, picture-in-picture, and Q&A tools that allow for submission collection, upvoting, commenting, and moderation. We also offer session recording. Gatheround was founded in 2018 as a software development company.

Our mission is to strengthen communities by giving people a sense of online togetherness that usually only happens in person. We believe everyone deserves to feel a deep sense of belonging and that isolation is something we can overcome. We also believe stronger communities are essential for human happiness and for addressing global challenges.

We intentionally build and cultivate a culture where we know, value, and trust each other as humans, not just co-workers. We emphasize exploring and understanding the true nature of problems before solving them. We also believe great work and having fun go hand-in-hand. We’re committed to building community and considering the long-term impacts of our decisions. We measure success, both company-wide and individually, by how much we learn.

Our founders include a social-change technologist, an activist turned entrepreneur, and a community organizer with experience from organizations like Change.org, Obama for America, Hustle, the MIT Media Lab, and Facebook.
