Team mission
As a Lead Product Manager in our Discovery (Traveler) organization, you will be a core part of a cross-functional mission team—partnering closely with engineering, design, research, data/analytics, and peer product leaders. You will own the Exploration experience, helping travelers discover the right experiences through inspiration-led entry points, destination and category browsing, and high-performing landing pages.
Your mission
Your role is to set a clear product strategy and vision, translate it into measurable outcomes, and continuously iterate based on customer insights and data. While we care deeply about performance and metrics, we don’t optimize KPIs in isolation—we start from real traveler problems, validate them with evidence (qualitative and quantitative), and use measurement to ensure we’re delivering meaningful customer value.
We are looking for a leader who can think beyond the current product, champion the traveler perspective, and drive a compelling, coherent discovery experience across multiple surfaces. You’ll balance near-term impact with long-term systems thinking—building a strong learning agenda through experimentation and aligning cross-functional and cross-team stakeholders on priorities and trade-offs.
Successful PMs at GetYourGuide bring a growth mindset and deliver customer and business impact by identifying opportunities, building alignment, and executing with urgency.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for your product area, set clear, measurable goals, and take full responsibility for outcomes. Drive sustained customer impact through a long-term (12 months+) roadmap, identifying areas for non-incremental impact.
- Articulate and connect your product area’s strategy to the company’s mission. Break down the strategy into actionable steps, regularly update stakeholders on progress, and create excitement for your long-term vision. Build alignment across cross-functional teams, partner teams, and senior stakeholders.
- Drive coherence across multiple discovery entry points (e.g., browse, landing pages, inspiration modules), balancing short-term wins with a durable information architecture and scalable content strategy.
- Synthesize customer feedback, research insights, and business metrics to identify and prioritize the most meaningful traveler problems. Define success measures and iterate based on evidence to ensure we deliver real customer value. Make strategic decisions on sequencing and prioritizing product work to maximize impact and learning.
- Build and execute an experimentation strategy—developing a robust hypothesis pipeline, defining guardrails and a learning agenda, and ensuring high-quality measurement. Use experiment outcomes to derive actionable insights, inform roadmap decisions, and align cross-team priorities and trade-offs.
- Drive end-to-end delivery, ensuring high-quality execution from discovery through launch and iteration, and enabling effective collaboration across engineering, design, research, and data.
- Build strong relationships and alignment across partner teams that influence discovery quality (e.g., Search, Recommendations, Brand/Content, Commercial). Set clear expectations, align on shared goals and trade-offs, and drive cross-functional execution against your roadmap.
- Represent the traveler perspective at all levels, communicate decisions with clarity and transparency with your team, peers, and executive leadership. Coach PMs and cross-functional partners to raise the bar on product thinking and execution and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Your toolkit
- 6+ years of professional experience in product management and at least 2+ years as a Lead Product Manager.
- Demonstrated ability to lead with customer problems and value creation, using data and metrics to validate impact rather than as the starting point.
- Demonstrated ownership of a significant product area with responsibilities for strategy, KPI definition, goal-setting, and roadmap execution.
- Ability to build alignment with a cross-functional mission team in a collaborative way that is aligned with our Guiding Principles.
- Strong ability to lead in ambiguity, influence without authority, and align multiple teams around shared outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong data analytics skills with the ability to derive insights from large data sets.
- Demonstrated passion for driving customer and business impact.
- Bonus: Experience working in a marketplace or the travel industry is a plus, but not required.
- Bonus: Experience owning consumer discovery/browse/search-adjacent top-of-funnel product areas at scale, including SEO- and landing-page ecosystems (content, templates, indexation, and measurement) is a plus but ot required.
How we’ll make your career journey extraordinary
- Annual personal growth budget and mentorship programs for continuous learning and development
- Work from anywhere in the world for 30 days per year
- A hybrid working approach with three days of in office collaboration (Mon, Tue, Thur) and two days of optional at home focus time.
- Opportunities to collaborate and socialize with team members through quarterly team events and yearly company-wide events
- Monthly transportation and fitness budget
- Discounts for you, your friends, and family on GetYourGuide activities
- Language reimbursement program
- Health and wellness benefits
And more…
