Job Description
The Partner Engagement Manager drives success across an assigned portfolio of corporate partners through strong account management, strategic communication, and cross-functional collaboration.
Reporting to the Director of Partner Engagement, this role supports renewal and fundraising goals by managing partner relationships, executing partner benefits, and leading projects that improve the partner experience. The Manager oversees a portfolio of partners, typically with accountability for revenue retention and growth within the portfolio. The manager also supports various team projects on an as-needed basis.
This is an individual contributor role with the potential for future people management responsibilities.
This role requires strong relationship management skills, sound judgment, and the ability to prioritize efficiently. The ideal candidate is collaborative, proactive, and comfortable communicating with stakeholders at varying levels of seniority, from program contacts to executive leaders. This role is NY-based and requires 2 days in-office per week, in compliance with our hybrid work policy.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of corporate partners, overseeing all aspects of the relationship to support renewals, partner satisfaction, and long-term growth
Support revenue retention and growth goals through proactive renewal management and identification of expanded partnership opportunities
Lead execution of partner renewal strategies across Girls Who Code programming
Manage moves management activities for assigned partners, including tracking key milestones, renewal timelines, and action items
Analyze partnership data and trends, with guidance from the Director, to inform renewal planning, forecasting, and growth opportunities
Leverage partner feedback, survey data, and engagement insights to strengthen renewal strategy and overall partner experience
Collaborate cross-functionally to execute partner benefits, sponsorship deliverables, renewals, and upsell opportunities
Create concise and compelling written materials, including partner proposals, reports, briefing documents, and concept notes
Build strong knowledge of Girls Who Code programs and serve as a key liaison between internal teams and external partners
Advocate internally for partner priorities and strategic relationship needs
Track and maintain accurate partnership activity, engagement data, and renewal forecasting within Salesforce and related systems
Represent Girls Who Code at partner meetings, events, and convenings as needed
Demonstrate willingness to manage a potential future Partner Engagement Associate hire, providing mentorship, guidance, and portfolio support as the team grows
Qualifications
4-5 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years in stakeholder management, account management, fundraising, corporate partnerships, customer success, sales, or related fields
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across internal and external stakeholders
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience developing partner-facing materials
Ability to work independently, adapt to shifting priorities, and identify opportunities for improvement
Strong sense of accountability to deadlines, fundraising goals, and portfolio performance
Comfort working across distributed and in-person teams
Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce, or willingness to learn quickly
Familiarity with sales engagement tools such as Yesware or similar platforms preferred
Interest in or knowledge of technology, education, workforce equity, or the nonprofit sector preferred

$70,000 - $87,000 a year
