We are seeking an Accounting Specialist for a 6-month contract. This role offers a valuable opportunity to join a rapidly expanding startup, oversee essential accounting functions, and help enhance processes during a crucial growth period.
You’ll play a critical role in ensuring financial continuity, accuracy, and operational excellence while partnering closely with leadership and cross-functional teams.
This is a fully remote work opportunity.
What You’ll Do
Responsible for preparing monthly reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information to ensure completeness and accuracy of data.
Review payroll and new approvals
What We’re Looking For
Degree in Accounting
3-5 years of experience in financial close and accounts payable processing.
Experience in USGAAP accounting
Experience with QuickBooks and Accounts Payable Software (for example: Coupa)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Outlook and Excel, and Google Spreadsheets
Attention to detail and strong numeracy skills.
Effective English communication (verbal, written, and presentation) with internal and external stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Works collaboratively by consulting with employees, colleagues, and clients.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple and competing priorities to meet tight deadlines.
