About the Opportunity
Lead the strategic delivery of the Nathan Space Revitalisation Program as the University’s senior accountable officer. Reporting to the Director, Campus Life, this role drives the execution of the University’s space strategy, ensuring strong governance, clear accountability, and a people-focused approach.
You will oversee space rationalisation, refurbishment and consolidation initiatives to deliver improved staff and student experiences, operational sustainability, and long term value. The role requires enterprise leadership, balancing complex stakeholder needs, program risk, financial oversight, and organisational readiness during a significant period of campus transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Nathan Space Revitalisation Program, aligning delivery with the University’s space strategy, master plans and Executive direction.
- Drive development of a similar portfolio of initiatives across all campuses to modernise facilities, optimise space and support long-term sustainability.
- Translate strategy into a clear, deliverable program roadmap, including sequencing, milestones and operational impacts.
- Oversee program planning, coordination and delivery to achieve campus modernisation, space optimisation and improved staff and student experiences.
- Establish strong governance, ensuring effective management of performance, risks, issues and decision-making.
- Provide strategic advice and reporting to senior stakeholders to support informed investment and prioritisation decisions.
- Maintain the program business case, ensuring costs, benefits and risks remain robust and aligned to delivery.
- Manage program finances, ensuring value for money and realisation of intended benefits.
- Lead risk, issue and dependency management across the program and related initiatives.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships and lead organisational change to support adoption and readiness.
- Collaborate with key enabling teams to ensure integrated and coordinated delivery.
- Oversee procurement, contracts, quality, safety and compliance across all program activities.
- Optimise value from underutilised assets and ensure master plans evolve with program outcomes.
About you
- Extensive senior leadership experience delivering large‑scale, complex infrastructure, refurbishment or transformation programs in a highly regulated environment.
- Tertiary qualifications in construction, property, engineering, planning, business or program management, or an equivalent combination of experience and professional standing.
- Advanced program or portfolio management certification is desirable.
- Experience in a higher education environment would be advantageous.

This is a full time fixed term opportunity for three years based primarily at the Brisbane South (Nathan) campus. As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations

Salary
A competitive salary will be negotiated with the preferred candidate.
