Our Service Centre plays a critical role in delivering efficient, compliant and customer focused financial services to staff, students and external suppliers. You will join a collaborative shared services environment where accuracy, integrity and service excellence matter.
Job Description
As a Service Centre Support Officer- Accounts Payable, you will support the timely and accurate processing of high volume financial transactions in line with University policies and legislative requirements.
You will:
Process invoices, credit notes and related financial transactions with accuracy and efficiency.
Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures and legal requirements.
Respond to enquiries from internal stakeholders and external suppliers in a professional and timely manner.
Monitor outstanding transactions and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
Maintain accurate records and uphold strong data integrity across financial systems.
Contribute to process improvements that enhance service delivery and efficiency.
This role is critical to the University’s fraud and corruption control environment. You will apply sound judgement, maintain strong governance practices and act with integrity in all financial processing activities.

To be successful in this role you will have:
Experience in accounts payable, financial administration or a shared services environment.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to process work accurately at pace.
The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
A customer focused approach with strong communication skills.
Confidence working with financial systems and digital platforms.
An understanding of compliance and governance requirements within financial processing.
What we can offer
This is a fixed term (4months), full time position primarily based at the Griffith University Brisbane South (Nathan) campus. As Griffith is a multi-site University, you may be required to work across other locations.
Griffith University’s sites are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.
Salary Range
The full time equivalent base salary will be HEW Level 4 range $73,623 - $77,680 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $86,138 - $90,885 per annum.
