Job Description
We are seeking a passionate Student Communications Officer to provide ongoing communication and administrative support for prospective international students. As a Student Communications Officer within International Marketing, you will utilise a range of different communication platforms and databases to effectively engage with our current and future international students, and respond to international student enquiries.
Within this role, you’ll take on complex local and global challenges, that will see you using your skills and experience to drive meaningful change. You will also:
- Respond to complex international student enquiries via phone, email and social media in an accurate and timely manner.
- Support the delivery of international student communication campaigns across a range of channels, proof tests and provide approval on content.
- Ensure all email communications meet objectives, are delivered to relevant audiences through appropriate channels and adhere to University best practice and style guides.
- Contribute to the development of business processes and protocols specific to communication with international students to improve business efficiency and the student experience.
- Build and sustain relationships with a network of colleagues, clients and external services providers.

You will also have:
- Demonstrated high level communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills within the higher education sector.
- Experience providing outstanding customer service.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in business, marketing, communication and/or public relations.
- Abide by strict guidelines and cultural sensitivity.
- A self-motivator driven by content and analytics.
- Experience within the field ofmarketing or communications preferred.
- The ability to work collaboratively in a team to deliver the best possible outcomes for Griffith University and the International team.
Candidates must have full unrestricted Australian work rights and may be subject to a National criminal history check.
What we can offer
This is fixed term, part time, job sharing opportunity at 40% FTE (29 hours per fortnight) until 30/03/2027 and can be based at either the Brisbane South (Nathan) or Gold Coast campus. As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations.
As this is a job sharing opportunity our ideal candidate will work every Tuesday and Friday (7.25hrs per day).
HEW 5 Salary – FTE base salary range - $79,705.66 - $89,416.39 + 17% super. Full package range - $93,255.63 - $104,617.18.
