About Guild

Guild, founded in 2015, focuses on workforce development, career education, and tuition assistance. We partner with employers to provide education benefits and training programs for their employees.

Our programs help companies attract and keep talent, fill key positions, and develop specific skills. Our Guild Talent Advantage™ gives employees valuable education and training, backed by data and personal coaching. We create solutions that build foundational knowledge, develop job-specific skills, and prepare people for licensed roles.

Our specific products include: Guild Grow, a marketplace with over 2,000 vetted programs from certificates to four-year degrees; Guild Academy, which offers customizable, cohort-based learning; and Guild Navigator, which helps build local, cohort-based programs for licensed and certified jobs. As a public benefit corporation, we also measure workforce resilience using our Talent Resilience Index, developed with Lightcast.

Employers using our programs report an average $3 return on every $1 invested. Employees are also 3.5 times more likely to move into new roles. Clients have seen better talent retention and more internal promotions.

Mission & Values

Our mission is to create a future of work that benefits everyone. We believe that when opportunities are as accessible as talent, individuals, companies, and the economy all grow.

We operate by six principles, which we call C.H.O.R.U.S.:

  • Customer-centric: We deliver value to our partners, learners, and members by working closely with them.
  • Humble: We are curious, seek feedback, and are always looking for ways to improve.
  • Owners: We take responsibility for our impact and set high standards for ourselves.
  • Results-driven: We focus on excellent execution and measurable results.
  • Unified: We work as one team, collaborating smoothly and making quick decisions.
  • Scrappy: We tackle challenges with agility, resourcefulness, creativity, and a sense of urgency.

Team & Culture

We have between 1,001 and 5,000 employees. We have a distributed workforce. Many remote roles offer flexibility across 32 states, while some positions are hybrid for our Denver-based team.

Our culture focuses on employee growth and making a positive impact, both within the company and for our users. We aim to create an environment where employees don’t have to choose between “doing good” and “doing well.” We are committed to developing our managers and focus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) to ensure our workforce reflects the diverse members and learners we serve. We offer flexible work arrangements, helping employees design their work around their lives.

Benefits & Perks

We offer our employees a comprehensive benefits package. This includes access to low-cost, high-quality health care options through Cigna, Collective Health, and Kaiser (available in CA & CO). Employees get a 401k retirement plan and company equity, with some roles including stock options.

Time off benefits include a vacation policy, 8 days of fully-paid sick leave, and an open paid time off policy. Family benefits include 12 weeks of parental leave for non-birthing parents and 18-20 weeks for birthing parents. We also provide a 4-week ramp-up period when returning from a leave of six weeks or more. We also offer employer-paid short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, fertility benefits, and caregiving benefits.

We provide wellness benefits, including free and low-cost mental health resources and financial wellbeing support. Additionally, we support professional development with education benefits and tuition assistance.
