Job Description
Who We Are
Heidi is building an AI Care Partner that supports clinicians every step of the way, from documentation to delivery of care.
We exist to double healthcare’s capacity while keeping care deeply human. In 18 months, Heidi has returned more than 18 million hours to clinicians and supported over 73 million patient visits. Today, more than ten million patient visits each month are powered by Heidi across 190 countries and over 110 languages.
Founded by clinicians, Heidi brings together clinicians, engineers, designers, scientists, creatives, and mathematicians, working with a shared purpose: to strengthen the human connection at the heart of healthcare.
Backed by nearly USD$100 million in total funding, Heidi is expanding across ANZ, the USA, UK, Canada, and Europe, partnering with major health systems.
We move quickly where it matters and stay grounded in what’s proven, shaping healthcare’s next era. Ready for the challenge?
The Role
Heidi is expanding across the UK and is hiring a Clinical Director to lead high-stakes engagement with ministries, health authorities, major hospital systems , academic institutions, and strategic partners.
This position is suited to one of two profiles:
A senior clinician or CMO-level leader with the commercial acumen, gravitas, and strategic capability to support system-wide transformation; or
An experienced healthcare executive with deep networks, strong enterprise relationships, and a demonstrated ability to navigate complex procurement pathways and multi-stakeholder environments.
The Clinical Director is a senior, externally facing role with full accountability for accessing enterprise deals, partnership development, and commercial outcomes. You will shape Heidi’s strategic approach, secure lighthouse health-system relationships, guide pilots through evaluation to scale, and provide executive sponsorship to local operators across the region.
You will operate with substantial autonomy and the full support of Heidi’s global leadership team.
What you’ll do
Clinical & Commercial Leadership
Act as senior clinical partner on enterprise deals and strategic commercial discussions.
Provide frontline credibility in executive, procurement, and clinical stakeholder conversations.
Translate complex clinical workflows into compelling system-level value propositions.
Support high-value deal flow through clinical insight, stakeholder alignment, and market intelligence.
Establish and deepen relationships with KOL’s, think tanks, research organisations and regulatory bodies.
Strategic Sales Enablement & Market Development
Lead a forward-looking clinical sales enablement strategy aligned with evolving NHS and private sector priorities.
Anticipate barriers to adoption — clinical, operational, regulatory, and cultural — and proactively shape positioning and deployment frameworks.
Guide adaptable, specialty-informed demonstration strategies that remain agile across market shifts.
Manage and grow a network of clinical ambassadors to drive advocacy, deal flow, and peer-led influence.
Establish a structured clinician engagement program - setting a consistent cadence for input, synthesising strategic insights, and embedding learnings into product and commercial direction.
Ensure Heidi’s clinical narrative remains differentiated, evidence-led, and authoritative.
Research, Evidence & ROI
Align commercial deployments with defined research objectives to ensure measurable impact.
Partner closely with Research and Safety leads to shape pilot evaluation frameworks and outcome measures.
Ensure UK partnerships demonstrate clear return on investment — spanning workflow efficiency, clinical quality, and system-level performance.
Contribute to broader evidence-generation efforts and champion clinically responsible AI deployment aligned with established governance standards.
Product & Clinical Strategy
Provide UK market insight into product roadmap and workflow integration.
Advise on real-world implementation in high-pressure clinical environments.
Act as a strategic clinical sounding board to product and engineering teams.
Thought Leadership & Representation
Represent Heidi at conferences, panels, and industry forums.
Deliver compelling presentations to clinical and executive audiences.
Support development of white papers, case studies, and strategic positioning initiatives.
Strengthen Heidi’s reputation as a trusted innovation partner within UK healthcare.
About you

You bring:
10+ years of leadership experience in hospitals, health systems, digital health, medtech, healthtech, or government-facing healthcare roles.
Strong enterprise and system-level networks across hospitals, ministries, clinical leadership, and/or channel partners.
Proven ability to translate clinical or operational insights into commercial and strategic outcomes.
High credibility in executive, clinical, and government settings; comfortable navigating long-cycle engagements.
A “builder” mindset - able to craft regional strategy, shape lighthouse opportunities, and help local teams execute.
