We are a Swiss and US-based software company founded in 2017. We develop solutions to collect, analyze, and organize health data. Our goal is to support the R&D of new drug candidates, manage clinical trials, and improve care for patients with eye diseases. We specialize in medical image analysis, artificial intelligence, machine learning, med-tech, and digital health within ophthalmology.

We offer our Discovery software platform to healthcare professionals and pharmaceutical companies. The platform helps manage data, provides insights through AI analysis, and streamlines clinical and research workflows. Key products include:

• Discovery® Unity, which helps Pharma & Life Sciences understand diseases.
• Discovery® for Clinical Studies, which manages multi-vendor and multi-source data for clinical trials.
• Discovery® for Clinics, which provides AI access for OCT and imaging data, along with secure data sharing. We also develop Disease Evaluation Apps that generate patient reports and help assess vision-threatening diseases. We provide CE-marked AI models for layer and fluid segmentation in OCTs, and Research Use Only models for experimental features like Geographic Atrophy Segmentation & Progression. Our platform supports many data formats, including DICOM-compliant and proprietary formats, OCTs, Fundus images, DICOM datasets, PDFs, JPEG, PNG, TIFF files, EHR, demographics, genetics, and image data. Discovery complies with EU GDPR, HIPAA, and Canadian PIPEDA rules for data privacy and security.

We support assessment in ophthalmology, neurodegenerative conditions (e.g., Multiple Sclerosis, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s), vascular diseases, and rare diseases. Our AI models focus on common vision-threatening diseases such as age-related macular degeneration (AMD), diabetic retinopathy (DR), diabetic macular edema (DME), cystic macular edema (CME), and geographic atrophy (GA). We have 15 pharma and research customers. We’ve processed 20 clinical studies, analyzed 1 million patient images, and contributed to over 40 peer-reviewed research publications. We offer a library of over 30 CE-marked and Research Use Only (RUO) biomarkers.
