The Mission of the Transformation Specialist
Turn decisions into outcomes — own, drive, and deliver cross-functional transformation at ICEYE.
This is a high-ownership, high-visibility role for an action-oriented generalist who can take a problem, structure it, and drive it to execution. You will independently own workstreams across the business and ensure that strategic decisions translate into tangible, measurable results.
The role is ideal for someone with early consulting or operations experience who is ready to be hands-on in building and scaling a fast-growing, global space-tech company.
Who We Are
ICEYE delivers space-based intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities to governments and allied nations. This includes sovereign and turnkey ISR missions leveraging ICEYE’s world-leading synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite technology, as well as access to data from the world’s largest SAR satellite constellation. These capabilities enable partners to detect and respond to critical changes anywhere on Earth with unprecedented speed and accuracy – day or night and in any weather, supported by ultra high-resolution imagery and high-frequency revisits.
As a trusted partner for defense, intelligence, security, and maritime domain awareness, ICEYE’s near real-time data creates a tactical advantage for mission-critical operations. Designed for dual use, the platform also serves civil protection and commercial users for natural-catastrophe intelligence, insurance, maritime monitoring (including oil-spill detection), and finance, contributing to global security and community resilience.
ICEYE operates internationally with offices in Finland, Poland, Spain, Japan, the UAE, Greece, and the US. The company has more than 900 employees, inspired by the shared vision of improving life on Earth by becoming the global source of truth in Earth Observation.
Expected Outcomes & Requirements
Outcomes:
- Transformation projects you own are delivered on time and produce measurable operational improvements — decisions made in leadership forums turn into executed plans with clear ownership and timelines
- Functional leaders (HR, Finance, Legal, Operations, Engineering) regard you as a trusted operational partner who understands their pain points and delivers practical, implementable solutions
- Stakeholder communication is sharp and effective — meeting agendas are set, discussions are facilitated, outcomes are synthesized, and actions are tracked to completion
- Leadership decision-making is accelerated through high-quality materials (slides, briefs, decision memos) that are clear, concise, and actionable
- Progress and impact of transformation workstreams are visible through pragmatic reporting and dashboards, underpinned by data-driven problem solving
Key Responsibilities
1. Drive Cross‑Functional Transformation Projects
- Translate high-level goals into detailed plans, milestones, and work plans
- Run day‑to‑day project management: follow-ups, risk identification, issue resolution, documentation
- Ensure decisions made in meetings are followed by clear ownership, timelines, and execution
2. Act as an Operational Partner to the Business
- Work closely with functional leaders (e.g., HR, Finance, Legal, Operations, Engineering) to understand their needs and operational pain points
- Help design and roll out practical solutions (process changes, tools, ways of working) that are simple, implementable, and measurable
- Prepare materials (slides, briefs, decision memos) that help leadership make fast, informed decisions
3. Lead Meetings and Stakeholder Communication
- Own specific workstream meetings: set agendas, facilitate discussions, synthesize outcomes, and track actions
- Represent the Transformation Lead in selected cross‑functional meetings and external vendor discussions when needed
- Communicate clearly and concisely with stakeholders at different levels—from individual contributors up to C‑level
4. Data‑Driven Problem Solving & Execution
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities (e.g., time‑to‑hire, approval lead times, handover delays)
- Build simple, pragmatic reporting or dashboards (even in AI/ spreadsheets / basic tools) to track progress and impact
- Continuously test, learn, and refine processes for scalability and sustainability
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications & Experience
2–4 years of relevant experience in one or more of:
- Management consulting
- Strategy / operations / transformation roles in a tech, scale‑up, or industrial company
- PMO or cross‑functional project roles with clear delivery accountability
Demonstrated experience owning a workstream end‑to‑end, not just supporting (planning, running stakeholder meetings, tracking actions, and driving to completion)
Strong problem‑solving and structured thinking skills: able to take an ambiguous question, break it down, and propose clear options
Proven ability to work with multiple functions (e.g., HR, Finance, Legal, Tech/Engineering) and manage competing priorities
Experience in scaling processes leveraging AI is considered an advantage
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; able to simplify complex topics for different audiences
Ways of Working & Personal Attributes
Bias to action: you move quickly from slides and ideas to pilots, experiments, and implementation.
Ownership mindset: you treat your workstreams as your own mini‑business; you don’t wait to be told what to do next.
Comfort with ambiguity: you are happy starting from a blank page and building structure yourself.
Practical and hands‑on: prioritize impact over slides, willing to do both “thinking work” (problem structuring, analysis) and “doing work” (writing comms, updating trackers, chasing actions, organizing logistics).
High reliability: stakeholders trust you to be prepared, follow through on commitments, and surface issues early.
Fast learner: you quickly understand new domains (from AI use cases to satellite operations to HR processes), ask the right questions, and connect dots.
