About innovaTel (now Iris Telehealth)

We, formerly innovaTel, offer telebehavioral health staffing partnerships to support community-based clinics and health systems. Established in 2013, we embed remote psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, licensed clinical social workers, and therapists with organizations to help meet patient demand. We do not provide direct care to patients. Our services, which include telepsychiatry and teletherapy, support care settings and patient groups from pediatric to geriatric, and from low acuity therapy to high acuity psychiatry.

Our clinicians integrate into the partner organization’s team. They become credentialed with the organization’s payers, document in their electronic health records (EHRs), and use the partner’s chosen telehealth platform. These clinicians maintain a set weekly schedule, follow established workflows virtually, and are considered long-term staff, not locum tenens. They participate in team meetings and offer a virtual “Open Door” policy. We help partner organizations recruit and retain clinicians, meet care demand, and create a positive patient experience. We also help with budget predictability by covering costs for licensing, benefits, and malpractice insurance for the clinicians we place. We are Joint Commission accredited for behavioral health. We currently work with over 430 clinicians and 210 partners.
