Role Overview:
As the Senior Business Insights Manager, you will be the primary strategic partner to our GTM leadership (Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and RevOps). You will serve as the Lead Architect for our transition from ARR to ACV-based reporting and the primary driver of our retention and churn intelligence. Using Sigma and dbt, you will build the visibility layer that tells the story of the entire customer lifecycle—from the first marketing touch to long-term renewal—ensuring our GTM engine is optimized for high-value, sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- ACV & Retention Architecture: Own the migration of our reports from ARR to ACV and design the foundational logic for churn and retention tracking. This includes refactoring dbt models in Snowflake and designing high-impact Sigma workbooks that track ACV by segment, region, and lead source.
- Churn & Retention Analytics: Develop deep-dive insights into customer health and churn drivers. Partner with Customer Success to build health scores and predictive models that identify “at-risk” accounts, providing the business with the visibility needed to reduce churn and improve LTV.
- Pipeline Strategy: Drive the data behind weekly “Pipe Gen” calls. Provide proactive insights into conversion rates, stage velocity, and marketing-attributed pipeline health.
- GTM Partnership: Partner with GTM leaders to define, measure, and track key performance indicators including pipeline health, conversion rates, productivity, and coverage.
- Full-Stack Analytics: Write production-grade SQL and manage dbt models to ensure the GTM data warehouse layer is performant, scalable, and accurate.
- Predictive Insights: Build “Early Warning Systems” in Sigma to identify pipeline gaps and churn risks 2–3 quarters out, allowing leadership to course-correct before the end of the fiscal period.
- Operational Excellence: Develop and maintain dashboards and analytics tools that empower GTM teams to self-serve insights. Establish a “single source of truth” by identifying data gaps and inconsistencies across the revenue funnel.
- Leadership & Influence: Act as a thought leader in the use of analytics within the GTM organization, providing executive-level storytelling to support quarterly business reviews and board reporting.
Why This Role Matters:
Iterable is at a defining moment in its growth journey. As the Senior Business Insights Manager, you are not just a “data provider”; you are the architect of our new language of success. By bridging the gap between GTM activity and financial outcomes, you will provide the clarity our executives need to make high-stakes decisions. When a marketing campaign scales or a new sales territory is opened, it will be because your insights proved it was the right move. You are the engine that ensures our growth is not just fast, but sustainable and intelligent.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 7+ years in analytics, business operations, or revenue operations, with at least 3 years in a B2B SaaS GTM-facing role.
- Domain Expertise: Strong understanding of GTM motions (Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success), specifically regarding renewal cycles and retention metrics.
- Technical Skills: Production-level proficiency in SQL, dbt, and modern BI tools (Sigma preferred, or Tableau/Looker).
- Communication: Proven ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Salesforce or equivalent CRM and marketing automation systems.
- Background in financial or statistical modeling (e.g., growth model, revenue forecasting).
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Perks & Benefits:
- Paid parental leave
- Competitive salaries, meaningful equity, & 401(k) plan
- Medical, dental, vision, & life insurance
- Balance Days (additional paid holidays)
- Fertility & Adoption Assistance
- Paid Sabbatical
- Flexible PTO
- Monthly Employee Wellness allowance
