About JustFund
We are the nation’s first common grant application platform, developed by funders and organizers of color. Our platform is a two-sided marketplace connecting equity-focused funders with mission-driven organizations. We aim to solve problems in traditional philanthropy, like exclusionary practices and high application costs, especially for leaders and communities of color.
Applicants use a single, free application on our platform to apply for multiple funding opportunities. Funders can streamline application reviews, discover new nonprofits, collaborate with other funders who share their values, track real-time impact with analytics, and distribute funding faster and more equitably.
Our key features include JustFund Search for finding grantee partners, Real-Time Analytics for tracking need and impact, Values-Aligned Connections for partnering with other funders, Collaborative Tools for team review, Automated Workflows for managing tasks, and Mobile Optimization. We are a 501©(3) public charity.
Since 2017, we’ve moved over $385 million through the platform, saving applicants more than 360,000 hours in application time. Currently, our platform serves over 1,100 active funders, with 250 running grant cycles, and 22,000 nonprofits.
Over 57% of funding goes to organizations with budgets under $500,000. This includes $167 million to Black-led organizations, $150 million to Latinx-led organizations, and $129 million to women-led organizations. Additionally, 33% of grants go to groups based in the U.S. South.
