The Role:
The Junior Account Manager Oribe NL partners with existing Oribe salons to grow and develop the portfolio while driving high-end acquisition of new salons. You are responsible for delivering commercial plans through presentation, customer activation, and performance tracking. The role delivers merchandising expertise, product knowledge, and education support to ensure an outstanding salon and consumer experience, working closely with the Oribe education team to facilitate and execute education programs across the Benelux region.
Key Responsibilities:
Account management:
- Build relationships with current Oribe accounts at salon level.
- Execute against agreed strategy to maximum impact to include new key account presentations, promotional activity plans and new product launch ideas.
- Develop and deliver successful sales campaigns in salons in line with the global salon strategy and Oribe global guidelines.
- Train in salon staff to understand key brand and product benefits to support sales / enable access to hands-on training for salon staff through the Oribe education program and sessions.
- Support and drive Net Sales in retail while ensuring brand equity in POS through merchandising, product knowledge, and ensuring quality sell out activates.
- Partner with the wider local Kao Salon Division team to identify opportunities to convert existing current Oribe salons to take in additional Kao Salon Division brands and build their portfolio.
New business development
- Takes the lead in finding new potential Oribe salon in The Netherlands in alignment with the strategy. Maintain and work to a focused prospect list of target customers to grow the Oribe salon footprint in line with global guidelines.
- Work together with the Benelux Oribe team to collaborate on strategy and approach to drive new business.
- Your expertise will extend to the wider Kao Salon Division portfolio of brands to enable extended distribution into Oribe customers in line with strategy.
Education
Will have the responsibility to drive, facilitate and help execute the Oribe education program and sessions in The Benelux:
- Hosting in-salon and Academy programs as well as digital programs.
- Support the Benelux Oribe Team in commercial and educational activities.
- Help in possibly finding and educating educators/guest artists in Benelux to support Oribe education.
Brand Ambassadorship
- To act as an ambassador of the organization and maximize any opportunities to promote the name, image and reputation of our business at e.g. industry functions, networking events, meetings with new and existing clients.
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, or a related field.
- Up to 3 years’ experience in a commercial or sales role, ideally within beauty, health, fashion, FMCG, or ideally luxury brands, with a proven track record of results.
- Excellent sales capabilities, including the ability to drive performance through strategic planning, promotions, and execution.
- Affinity for high-end luxury branding, communication, and qualitative brand standards.
- Solid knowledge of the haircare industry, with relevant sector contacts considered a plus.
- Ability to develop and negotiate commercial agreements in line with company guidelines and margin targets.
- Highly organized, flexible, and able to work independently in a dynamic environment.
- Willingness to travel frequently (approx. 4 days per week), attend events as required, and adapt working hours when business needs demand.
- Estimated average 1 day per week presence in the country head office.
- Confident user of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable working with sales tools and systems.
