We started KatRisk in 2012 as a software development company focused on climate catastrophe risk modeling. We offer solutions to insurers, governments, and financial institutions worldwide.

Our models cover over 190 countries, providing high-resolution risk assessments for perils like inland flooding, storm surge, tropical cyclone wind, severe convective storms (SCS), and wildfire. We are also developing an earthquake model.

Our software products include:

• SpatialKat: For comprehensive risk assessment with global coverage.
• SoloKat: Designed to improve the underwriting process with fast API responses and hazard data integration.
• Hazard Data: Helps visualize and analyze catastrophe risks.
• Perilfinder: Provides instant property risk analytics, dynamic visualizations, and reporting.

We build our models for speed, technical accuracy, and transparency, integrating climate change scenarios. They use advanced probabilistic modeling and are highly customizable, agile, and client-focused, with climate change considerations built-in. Our software integrates easily, is exceptionally fast (up to 30 times faster than the industry standard), and uses high-resolution data.
