Kepak is a global food company serving international retailers and food service household names with prime cuts of meat, on-trend food concepts and ready-for-market convenience foods.
Kepak St. Merryn in Bodmin is a beef processing facility. We offer beef products ranging from retail ready cuts for butchers’ counters to branded packaged meat, all as part of our service; raised on open pastures, sourced from local farmers and hand-selected by our master butchers, we produce beef products with integrity and unmatched quality assurance.
We are currently looking for an experienced Recruiter to work in our busy meat manufacturers in Bodmin. This is a full time position, working 37.5 hours per week on a permanent contract with a competitive salary. Working mainly on-site, there would also be some flexibility of remote working as well.
Role Purpose:
The Recruiter plays a critical role in improving how we attract, engage, and retain local talent at site. While the role retains essential transactional responsibilities—such as sourcing, screening, and interview coordination —the core focus is to move beyond reactive vacancy‑to‑vacancy recruitment and build a proactive, data‑driven talent pipeline that supports the sites strategic workforce planning activities and longer term operational needs.
This role will partner closely with HR colleagues and operational teams to understand skills gaps, future capability needs, and succession risks. The Recruiter will help shape a multi‑skilled site workforce, strengthen our local employer brand, and support continuous improvement in local recruitment quality and hiring manager decision‑making processes, fostering a consistently positive candidate experience.
Essential
Experience in recruitment (in‑house or agency), ideally within manufacturing, FMCG, or similar fast‑paced environments.
Ability to think strategically and plan for longer term workforce needs.
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
Confident using recruitment systems, data, and analytics to support decisions.
Experience sourcing and engaging candidates through multiple channels.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage high‑volume recruitment.
Desirable
Experience in local employer branding, community engagement, or early careers outreach.
Understanding of multi‑skilled workforce models or skills‑based hiring.
Knowledge of the local labour market and community networks.
Experience working in a unionised or regulated environment.
