We are looking for an AI Enablement Specialist to partner with business and technical stakeholders in shaping how AI is applied across Lightspeed. In this role, you will work closely with teams to understand the data landscape and key business value streams.
You will translate complex business problems into actionable data analysis, models, and clearly defined migration scopes and requirements, collaborating throughout the solution lifecycle with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Software Developers, and other partners. You’ll also work with business and functional teams to identify, experiment with, and scale reusable AI solutions across the organization.
What you’ll be doing:
- Work on AI project initiatives (including process design, prototyping, testing, training, and defining support procedures) in collaboration with internal teams
- Engineer and refine AI prompts that direct generative models to achieve specific outcomes, requiring a technical grasp of AI, inventive prompt crafting, and optimization based on an established business process context.
- Assist with defining, implementing, and maintaining efficient processes for building, operating, and supporting AI solutions, including effective measurement and reporting.
- Actively participate in code reviews and collaborative problem-solving sessions, contributing to the improvement of AI solutions and development processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve AI-related issues, ensuring the reliability and accuracy of AI-driven applications.
- Stay updated on the latest AI and machine learning advancements, research papers, and tools, incorporating them into AI development projects.
- Developing infrastructures for data transformation and ingestion
- Collaborate with Corporate data team to validate, merge, and obtain the right data aligned to the business use case to solve
- Analyzing data in current systems, building procedures for data cleansing, and reconciliation
- Conducting data analysis and interpreting the results to guide an organization’s decision-making process
What you need to bring:
- Computer Sciences, MIS degree or equivalent
- Experience with GCP product such as Bigquery, Vertex AI, Conversational Agent
- Experience in SDLC including Agile, CI/CD, Cloud environments (AWS, GCP)
- Good knowledge of data management, data integration, data quality and database development techniques
- Ability to apply Data Governance principles (Lineage, Quality, Metadata)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to stay positive and motivated while under pressure.
- Proven track record in AI, with portfolio examples of successful AI projects.
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in AI, such as Python, R, or Java
- Hands-on experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP), computer vision, or other AI subfields
- Experience with version control systems like Git, enabling effective collaboration and code management
- As a global company with employees and clients outside of Quebec, fluency in English as a working language is required for this position
