About Linera
We started Linera in 2021 to build a fast and scalable multi-chain protocol and real-time blockchain infrastructure for Web3 and agentic web applications. Our architecture uses microchains, allowing individual users or applications to run their own chains. This lets applications read and write on-chain data with low latency and high security.
We’re bringing Web2-level scalability and real-time communication to Web3, while keeping cryptographic security. Our system eliminates contention between users and enables parallel processing for applications like DeFi orders in DEXes, millions of payment transactions, and coordinating DePIN devices, data, and rewards.
Our current products include an SDK, a public Devnet launched in Q1 2024, and a multi-phase public Testnet (Archimedes, Babbage, Conway) that began in Q4 2024. We also plan to release a web-wallet extension and a lightweight indexer. Our technology is based on academic research, including the FastPay protocol and our whitepaper “Linera: a Blockchain Infrastructure for Highly Scalable Web3 Applications.”
