Junior Project Manager - Application Support, Operations & Business Analysis

Job description

On behalf of IBM, LMW is seeking a motivated Junior Project Manager with combined responsibilities in Application Support, Operations, and Business Analysis. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in IT support, application operations, or business analysis, along with a solid understanding of IT concepts. Experience in the energy or trading sector is a plus but not required.

In this hybrid role, you will support the day-to-day operation of the client’s application, serve as the first point of contact for users, participate in business analysis activities, and assist in coordinating small-scale projects related to the client’s application ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Support & Operations

  • Serve as the first-level support for users of the client’s application, performing initial triage, incident troubleshooting, and ticket management.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to second-level support teams or external vendors.
  • Manage user access, onboarding/offboarding, permissions, and compliance with internal controls.
  • Perform system administration tasks, including implementing configuration changes within the client’s application.
  • Monitor and manage daily operational tasks, ensuring smooth execution of system workflows and business processes.

Business Analysis & Collaboration

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand functional requirements and support ongoing process improvements.
  • Participate in requirements gathering, documentation, user acceptance testing (UAT), and analysis of new features or enhancements.

Project Management

  • Assist in the coordination and delivery of small projects related to the client’s application.

  • Track project tasks, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely completion.

  • Coordinate between IT teams, business units, and external vendors.

  • Support project documentation, follow-up actions, and reporting activities.

  • Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • 3-5 years in application support, business analysis, IT operations, or service desk roles.

  • Previous exposure to project coordination or junior project management is a strong advantage.

  • Experience with enterprise applications or trading/operations systems is desirable but not mandatory.

  • Understanding of IT controls, user access management, and application lifecycle concepts.

  • Familiarity with business processes in operations, trading, or risk (nice-to-have).

  • Experience using ServiceNow, JIRA, or other ticketing systems.

  • Strong Excel skills; reporting or analytics capabilities are a plus.

  • Basic SQL for data queries and troubleshooting.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Highly organized with strong time-management and task-prioritization skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks or small projects simultaneously.
  • Proactive, dependable, and service-oriented.
