Mantra Health

We founded Mantra Health in 2018 as a digital mental health clinic to improve young people’s access to mental healthcare. We provide clinical services, software, and design, primarily for college students and higher education institutions.

We offer virtual treatment for young adults with various mental health conditions. Our services include virtual mental healthcare, a Self Care program with self-guided wellness content, and the ConnectNow Crisis Line for immediate support. We also developed Beacon, an intelligence platform that helps improve student well-being, success, and retention. We partner with universities and colleges across the United States, including MIT, Cornell, the University of Minnesota, Hamilton College, Montana Technological University, Emerson College, UMass Amherst, and Moravian University. We are also EAB’s Strategic Mental Health and Wellness Partner.

Since our founding, we have raised over $27 million. Students using our services show significant improvements in their mental health. Nearly two-thirds of students report our program helped them stay in school. Among those at high dropout risk, 70% improved after using our services, and 61% moved to a low-risk category. We report that 4 in 5 students say we help them stay enrolled, our Self Care program has a 95% positive student rating, 91% of students attend their first visit, and 83% of students with severe depression experience improvements.

Our mission is to improve young people’s mental healthcare access through clinical services, software, and design. We believe student success starts with mental health, and we are committed to helping students stay in school. We aim to increase student use of our services to achieve positive outcomes and expand access to affordable mental healthcare for all students.

We offer flexible scheduling and 100% remote work options. We support professional growth through cross-licensing sponsorship and provide company-sponsored malpractice insurance. Our team has access to administrative support and clinical consultations.

Eligible employees receive stock options or equity, medical, vision, and dental coverage for themselves, spouses, and dependents, and a 401(k) retirement plan. We provide generous paid time off (PTO), sick days, jury duty, and bereavement leave. Part-time employees working 20 hours a week accrue 10 days of PTO and 2.5 days of sick time annually. After five years of full-time employment, employees are eligible for a three-week sabbatical with a $3,000 stipend. We also offer inclusive parental leave, equal for all parents, along with a $1,000 new-parent mental wellness benefit.
