We founded Mahmee in 2014 to provide wraparound maternal and infant healthcare services.

We offer a team of nurses, doulas, lactation consultants, mental health coaches, nutritionists, and care coordinators. Our services include physical and psychosocial support for birth preparation and recovery, personalized support for breastfeeding, pumping, and bottle-feeding, and remote monitoring for blood pressure and newborn jaundice, including in-home phototherapy. We provide care through virtual appointments in all 50 U.S. states and in-person at clinics across California.

Our service model offers flexible scheduling, group classes, coaching sessions, and private messaging. We use data-driven monitoring for proactive check-ins, vital tracking, and coordinated care escalations to external medical providers. We partner with health insurance providers such as Aetna, Calviva, Cigna, Community Health Plan, Healthnet, Kaiser Permanente, Providence, Sutter Health Plan, and United Healthcare. Our services are often covered by insurance, and cash pricing options are available.

Our services have shown positive outcomes: users are three times more likely to breast/chestfeed with Lactation Care, experience 22% lower odds of preterm birth with Doula Care, and have 17% reduced odds of NICU admissions with Nursing Care. We also work to streamline insurance billing and reimbursement processes.
