Overall purpose and responsibilities of the role:
As a Production Assistant you will be responsible in performing quality control checks on residential and commercial floorplans, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with set standards before final delivery. You will also create and apply drone image overlays and property boundary markups, identify and correct errors, and follow established production workflows. The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and effective communication with offshore teams and management to meet deadlines and maintain consistent output quality.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and highly autonomous Production Assistant to join our property marketing production team.
You will work closely with our offshore production teams and Australian management team, helping ensure floorplans and drone imagery meet our quality standards before delivery. The role is primarily focused on floorplan quality control and drone image markups/overlays, making it ideal for someone who enjoys precision-based work and takes pride in producing accurate, consistent results.
This is a production-focused position with minimal client interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform quality control checks on residential and commercial floorplans.
- Review floorplans for accuracy, consistency, formatting, and compliance with company standards.
- Create and apply drone image overlays and property boundary markups.
- Identify and correct errors before final delivery to clients.
- Follow documented production workflows and quality procedures.
- Manage workload independently and meet production deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with offshore production teams and Australian management regarding revisions and project requirements.
- Create drone overlays using client annotations and style guides.
- Identify landmarks using Google Maps when required.
- Make revisions and corrections.
- Ensure spelling accuracy and proper placement of pointers.
- Assist with floor plan quality control.
- Review floor plans for incorrect measurements.
- Verify doors, windows, air-conditioning units, and appliances.
- Check color templates and style templates.
- Identify issues using supporting photos and measurements.
Additional Production Tasks:
Handle Ad hoc production-related tasks.
Escalate major issues when necessary.
At least 1 to 2 years of experience as a Production Assistant with exposure and knowledge in Drone Imagery and Aerial Mapping.
Essential:
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Reliable internet connection and suitable home office setup.
- Good written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to follow processes and maintain consistent quality standards.
Preferred:
- Experience using Adobe Photoshop for overlays.
- Knowledgeable in using Affinity Photo and/or Affinity Designer for floorplans; CAD or Illustrator experience may also be considered as alternatives.
- Previous experience in real estate, architectural, mapping, drafting, or graphic production environments.
- Experience working with floorplans, site plans, aerial imagery, or property marketing materials
