Job Description
As a valued team member, your responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking worksite, functional, ergonomic and exercise Asessments
- Identifying Return to Work (RTW) barriers and implementing Return to Work programs
- Liaising with clients, insurers, medical practitioners and employers to achieve recovery and return to work outcomes appropriate for all parties
- Designing, implementing and monitoring functional exercise programs that assist injured employees to return to the workforce
- Teach, coach, and motivate clients to facilitate self-management of exercise and healthy lifestyle, using models of behaviour change, scientific evidence and clinical reasoning, and accounting for sociocultural and individual factors
- Design, implement and evaluate safe and effective exercise interventions, based on referral information, presenting pathologies and co-morbidities, clinical reasoning, pre-intervention assessments and the analysis, interpretation, and application of scientific evidence.
- Conduct initial assessments and identify RTW barriers and design/implement/monitor programs that assist injured employees return to the workforce as required.
- Complete accurate case notes which reflect actions undertaken and any recommendations to achieve the Return to Work and Health goal.
Qualifications
What you’ll bring to the role
- Australian recognised degree qualification in Exercise Physiology
- Willingness to travel (A current vehicle and drivers licence is required)
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Determination to consistently provide a high level of customer service
- A keen sense of punctuality and the effective ability to manage your time
