Job Description
We are seeking individuals with a professional background in Rehabilitation Counselling or Psychology interested in working in the Occupational Rehabilitation sector and being part of our tight knit team in Robina, Gold Coast.
This role will be based from Robina where you will manage a caseload servicing the Gold Coast region with occasional travel supporting our Ballina region.
In this diverse role, you will enjoy the flexibility and autonomy to manage your own day. You will have the support of a strong, close team of driven and energetic healthcare professionals with the backing and resources of a global corporate infrastructure. Providing occupational rehabilitation services to clients with a range of conditions, both physical and psychological and supporting them to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes.
As a Rehabilitation Consultant, this role offers broad and varied experience across the spectrum of occupational rehabilitation, supporting clients in both returning to their original employment and exploring new vocational opportunities. This role is purpose driven in assisting those with an injury or health condition to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes;
Some of your day to day includes:
- Case management (caseloads are manageable, and our consultants have the support of Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks);
- Applying your clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes & partnering with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs;
- Working collaboratively with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals & working across various schemes such as workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran’s Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs;
- Conduct a range of assessments across Initial Assessments, Worksite Assessments & Vocational Assessments to support someone in their return to health, work & life goals
- Conduct relevant injury prevention and injury management consultancy services such as group mental health training, Employee Assistance Program services, Psychological Functional Capacity Evaluations and Adjustment to Injury Counselling services.

Qualifications
You’ll be a driven and energetic professional with hopefully all of the qualities below!
- Tertiary qualifications in Rehabilitation Counselling or Psychology
- General or Provisional AHPRA registration or Full ASORC Membership or eligibility to obtain
- Previous experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation industry would be highly regarded;
- Fabulous communication and time management skills - there is a lot of getting to know your clients and stakeholders!;
- You are someone with compassion, kindness and empathy!
- A current QLD Driver’s License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance is a must!
