Salary: $65,000 – $70,000
Location: Washington, D.C. or remote
Strategists on the Texting team manage texting programs for progressive candidates, political committees, and nonprofits. Texting is one of the fastest-growing and most effective channels in progressive politics – and this team was the first in the space to invest in dedicated texting expertise. This is an opportunity to take ownership of client programs, grow your skills across copywriting, list growth, and digital fundraising, and do it alongside a team that takes the craft seriously.
This role is a part of the bargaining unit.

Job Responsibilities
- Manage broadcast and P2P texting programs for 3-5 clients
- Draft fundraising, mobilization, and persuasion texts that reflect each client’s authentic voice
- Build and QA texts, managing production workflow across assigned accounts
- Develop and maintain production calendars and content schedules across clients
- Pull, compile, analyze, and synthesize texting performance metrics into reports
- Implement list growth strategies across paid and organic channels, including coordinating with other departments for compliance alignment
- Execute vendor outreach for acquisition campaigns: prepare external vendor folders, export suppression files, communicate budget and timeline to vendors
- Produce and manage assets including flows, landing pages, and donation pages
- Propose ideas for testing, segmentation, and optimization across send types
- Manage and interface with clients directly; participate actively in client calls
- Contribute to client projections for assigned accounts with guidance
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
1+ years of experience in texting, digital fundraising, or a related field – P2P and/or broadcast texting experience strongly preferred
Previous digital fundraising experience strongly preferred
Able to manage client projects largely without assistance
Demonstrated commitment to and knowledge of progressive politics
Strong copywriting skills; majority of writing is free of errors
Ability to adapt writing to reflect different client voices and perspectives
Attention to detail while managing tight deadlines and multiple content calendars
Knowledge of ActBlue and other relevant CRMs (ActionKit, Action Network, NGP, etc.) preferred but not required
Knowledge of texting platforms (Switchboard, Scale to Win, etc.) preferred but not required
