Founded in 2018, we are a biopharmaceutical company developing and commercializing treatments for rare diseases affecting children and adults. We have offices in Foster City, CA, and Zug, Switzerland, with additional locations in Germany, Canada, and New York. Remote work options are also available.

We have three approved medications:

  • LIVMARLI® (maralixibat), an IBAT inhibitor, is approved for cholestatic pruritus in Alagille syndrome patients in the U.S. (three months and older), Europe (two months and older), and other regions. It is also approved in the U.S. for cholestatic pruritus in PFIC patients 12 months and older, and in Europe for PFIC patients three months and older.
  • CHOLBAM® (cholic acid) capsules are FDA-approved for bile acid synthesis disorders due to single enzyme deficiencies and as an adjunctive treatment for peroxisomal disorders in patients with liver disease.
  • CTEXLI™ (chenodiol) tablets are FDA-approved to treat cerebrotendinous xanthomatosis (CTX) in adults.

Our late-stage pipeline includes two investigational treatments. Volixibat, an IBAT inhibitor, is currently in the Phase 2 VISTAS study for primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) and the Phase 2b VANTAGE study for primary biliary cholangitis (PBC). Volixibat has received Breakthrough Therapy Designation for cholestatic pruritus in PBC. We are also planning a Phase 2 study for MRM-3379, a PDE4D inhibitor, for Fragile X syndrome, a rare genetic neurocognitive disorder.
