So, what’s the role all about?
We are looking for a Specialist Architect to lead the architectural vision, design, and evolution of our digital platform. This role demands deep hands‑on expertise in PHP (Laravel & Symfony frameworks), AWS serverless technologies, and OpenSearch, along with proven experience designing high‑traffic, globally distributed, resilient systems.
You will play a critical role in building and scaling a mission‑critical, multi‑tenant SaaS platform that handles millions of interactions per day, meets strict SLAs (99.99%), and supports zero‑downtime deployments and robust disaster recovery.
How will you make an impact?
Architecture & System Design
- Own and define the end‑to‑end architecture of the Digital platform, covering API layers, data stores and integrations
- Design enterprise‑scale, multi‑tenant, cloud‑native architectures capable of handling very high concurrency and burst traffic
- Define reference architectures, architectural blueprints, and non‑functional requirements (NFRs) for scalability, reliability, performance, and security
- Drive event‑driven and asynchronous architectures using AWS native services
PHP & Application Architecture
- Act as the final authority on PHP architecture using Laravel and Symfony
- Define best practices for: Modular monoliths vs microservices / Domain‑driven design (DDD) / API design (REST, async/event APIs) / Performance optimization and low‑latency execution
- Review and guide complex application‑level designs and critical code paths
AWS Serverless & Cloud Architecture
- Architect and optimize solutions using AWS Serverless components, including but not limited to: AWS Lambda, API Gateway / SQS, SNS, Step Functions / DynamoDB, Aurora Serverless, S3
- Design cost‑efficient, elastic scaling strategies aligned with unpredictable CCaaS workloads
- Lead cloud governance, environment isolation, and account strategy
Search, Analytics & OpenSearch
- Design and operate AWS OpenSearch / Elasticsearch‑based solutions at enterprise scale
- Optimize search pipelines for: Real‑time indexing and querying , Large‑volume conversational data
- Implement shard strategies, index lifecycle management, and multi‑AZ resilience
Scalability, Resilience & Disaster Recovery
- Design for extreme scale (thousands of concurrent users, high TPS)
- Own resilience strategies, including: Multi‑AZ and multi‑region architectures Active‑active or active‑passive DR setups , Graceful degradation and failover mechanisms
- Define and validate RPO/RTO goals, chaos testing, and DR drills
Security, Compliance & Reliability
- Embed security‑by‑design, including authentication, authorization, data privacy, and encryption
- Support compliance needs (SOC2, ISO, GDPR, etc.) from an architectural standpoint
- Partner with SRE/DevOps teams on observability, logging, tracing, and alerting
- Define SLIs, SLOs, and capacity planning models
Technical Leadership & Collaboration
- Act as a technical mentor and advisor to senior engineers and tech leads
- Lead architecture reviews, design councils, and technical decision forums
- Partner closely with Product Management to balance business needs and technical excellence
- Drive long‑term architecture roadmap and reduce technical debt.
Have you got what it takes?
Technical Expertise
- Total 8+ Years of experience and PHP Expert with deep hands‑on experience in Laravel and Symfony
- Strong experience architecting large‑scale SaaS / CCaaS / real‑time platforms
- Proven expertise in AWS Serverless architecture
- Strong hands‑on knowledge of OpenSearch / Elasticsearch
- Experience with event‑driven systems, message queues, and streaming concepts
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, caching strategies, and data modeling
Architecture & Scale
- Demonstrated success in designing systems for: Very high traffic and global usage/ Low latency and high availability / Zero‑downtime deployments
- Deep experience with resilience, DR, and failover design.
- Experience in Digital, CCaaS, or real‑time communication platforms (Good to have)
- Exposure to multi‑region SaaS deployments (Good to have)
- Familiarity with hybrid serverless/container architectures (Good to have)
- Experience with cost optimization on a scale (Good to have)
