Job Description
The Role
We are looking for a visionary Agile leader to elevate delivery capabilities at Australia’s leading digital publishing business. As the owner of the “When” and the “How,” you will partner with Product, Design, and Engineering to navigate complex platform transformations while maintaining the stability of our iconic brands. This is a strategic leadership role focused on driving predictability, transparency, and flow across a fast-paced, high-availability environment.
What you’ll be doing:
- Strategic Leadership: Lead and mentor a cohort of Delivery Leads, fostering a culture of psychological safety, growth, and high performance.
- The Triad Partnership: Act as the bridge between Product strategy and Engineering feasibility, harmonising requirements into a predictable roadmap.
- Portfolio Flow: Use data-driven flow metrics (e.g., Cycle Time, Flow Efficiency) to diagnose bottlenecks and implement systemic process improvements.
- Operational Transformation: Guide the organisation through its evolution from siloed teams toward horizontal value streams.
- Dependency Management: Proactively identify and mitigate complex risks and impediments that span multiple squads and stakeholders.
Qualifications
What you’ll bring:
- Agile Expertise: Proven experience leading delivery functions in high-traffic, always-on digital environments.
- Systems Thinking: Deep expertise in using flow metrics to manage WIP and drive data-informed improvements at a portfolio level.
- Influence & Narrative: The ability to translate complex delivery data into clear, outcome-focused narratives for C-level executives.
- Change Management: Demonstrated experience guiding teams through significant organisational change and operating model shifts
- Sydney based, with 3 days per week onsite in North Sydney.
