Job Description
You will be responsible for day to day operations in Tax team covering all Indirect Tax related processes. Responsible for team development. KPI reporting. You will support for EU Tax wide processes by preparing standard reporting and analysis. You will also be responsible for Control Framework activities related to Indirect taxes.
Process responsibilities:
- Responsible for day to day operations in BSC Tax Team.
- Help with Tax team development and with works on potential growth of Tax function in BSC.
- Oversee, and perform selected, accounting processes covering all indirect tax compliance related activities.
- Coordinate the local taxation procedures, cash tax payments and timely and correct filing of VAT returns, ESL and Intrastat.
- Monitoring of right KPIs and internal controls to ensure efficiency and safety of processes.
- Interact with Stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient VAT reporting and to validate and maintain efficient and effective VAT accounting policies, processes, procedures, & internal controls as well as provide support used for business decisions.
- Continuously improve and standardize processes in order to increase efficiency and quality.
- Responsible for process of setting up an correct SAP Indirect Taxes rates and system logic.
- Ensure full compliance for countries under supervision with the relevant local VAT laws and regulations.
- Proactively monitor changes in tax law, propose and implement necessary changes in processes.
- Educate and train various internal stakeholders involved in VAT related processes.
- Assist in audit processes (group, statutory, tax).
- Responsible for proper retention of records.
- Pro-actively supporting the business (especially Sales, Finance, logistics and SSC) in all VAT related matters.
- Lead/Participate in indirect tax related projects.
- Ensure workload optimization and full back-up in BSC Tax team.
- Other reasonable tasks/projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Business or Economics
- Advanced proficiency in both written and spoken English
- A minimum 4 years tax experience in a multinational enterprise with a focus on indirect tax
- Proved successful experience in a People Management role
- Working in IFRS and/or US GAAP environment is an asset
- Overall tax knowledge
- Strong knowledge of ERP system (preferably SAP)
