As the Director of Logistics & Delivery Experience, you will own the end-to-end customer delivery journey- from how our products move through our national shipping network to how they arrive at the door. You’ll set the strategic direction for our logistics and carrier ecosystem, optimize cost and performance across the network, and ensure every delivery reflects the quality and care that Ollie stands for.

This role blends operational excellence with customer obsession- you’ll combine data-driven insights, logistics expertise, and strong cross-functional leadership to continuously improve delivery speed, reliability, and experience.

This is a U.S.-based remote position and reports to the VP of Operations

What You’ll Do:

  • Define and execute Ollie’s delivery and shipping strategy, including carrier selection, regional vs. national coverage, line-haul optimization, and last-mile innovation.
  • Oversee and negotiate all carrier contracts and relationships, ensuring service level excellence, scalability, and competitive cost structures.
  • Establish key metrics, goals, and dashboards to track carrier performance, delivery speed, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Act as the internal voice of the customer for delivery, identifying and addressing pain points, testing new approaches (like ice testing or packaging improvements), and collaborating with Product, Tech, Marketing, and Customer Experience teams to enhance the overall experience.
  • Own the annual delivery and shipping budget, forecasting, and cost optimization initiatives to align with company financial targets.
  • Stay ahead of trends in shipping, logistics, and delivery technology. Regularly assess and propose strategic opportunities to improve speed, reliability, and cost structure.
  • Lead business reviews with key carrier partners and present performance, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing delivery operations team focused on data, process improvement, and customer experience excellence.

Who You Are:

  • You have 8+ years of experience in logistics, delivery operations, or supply chain management, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proven success developing and executing logistics or shipping strategies at scale.
  • You’re a skilled negotiator with experience managing carrier contracts.
  • You’re analytical and data-driven, with a deep understanding of shipping metrics, carrier KPIs, and customer experience drivers.
  • You’re a strong cross-functional communicator with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • You’re customer-obsessed, detail-oriented, and passionate about creating exceptional end-to-end experiences.
