The Expansion Product Team at Omnisend builds and maintains the core systems that power our business growth - we’re responsible for billing, pricing/monetization, and access scopes. Our work enables merchants to seamlessly log in to Omnisend, choose and upgrade their plans, manage subscriptions, and receive accurate invoices as they grow with the platform.
As part of the Growth Value Stream, we experiment, focus on the shortest path to meaningful outcomes, and constantly look for the most effective ways to influence user behavior while maintaining a reliable and scalable platform.
We’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer with a preference for backend development, who is ready to play an active role in shaping engineering solutions and taking ownership of them. This role invites someone who is self driven, brings well-reasoned opinions to discussions, challenges assumptions, and proactively contributes to both technical and product decisions.
Collaborating closely with product and engineering peers, you’ll help the team build robust, maintainable systems while delivering impactful product changes in a timely manner.
What you’ll do @Omnisend:
Contribute significantly to product development decisions
Design, develop, and test features
Resolve technical challenges for seamless system functionality and optimal performance
Maintain features with effective monitoring, logging, and alerting
Share best practices with team members
We expect that you’ll bring:
Hands-on experience (5+ years) implementing and maintaining scalable, highly available, high load systems
Ideally, experience with Golang or alternatively proficiency in any backend programming language with the willingness to learn Golang
Comprehensive knowledge and experience with a modern front end framework (in Omnisend we use React, Angular)
Experience with back-end technologies (Node.js, Go) to handle server-side logic and API interactions
Experience with writing unit and integration tests self sufficiently
Familiarity with debugging your own and others code to identify and fix issues effectively
Familiarity with modern software build pipelines and tools
Experience with real time distributed messaging tools and event based architecture
Working experience with any cloud provider (at Omnisend we use Google Cloud Services)
Customer centricity
Proficiency in any database, Mongo DB primary
Experience using best practices in system design, architecture and micro services is a big advantage
