OTIP (Ontario Teachers Insurance Plan)

We were founded in 1977 as the Ontario Teachers Insurance Plan.

Ontario’s four education affiliates (AEFO, ETFO, OECTA, and OSSTF) own us, and a Board of Trustees directs our operations.

As a not-for-profit, we started by serving the education community. Today, we also provide insurance to other union organizations.

Our products include group benefits, home, auto, life, and travel insurance. We also manage long-term disability and life waiver claims, sales, and contact center operations.

We believe educators benefit most from a not-for-profit insurance advocate within their community.
