The Role
As our Payment Operations Officer, you will play a key part in supporting our global payments function and ensuring an exceptional client experience. You will be responsible for processing deposits and withdrawals, monitoring transactions, liaising with banks and PSPs, responding to client queries, and supporting our compliance and reconciliation processes.
Key Responsibilities
Client Money
- Allocate daily manual funding methods to client accounts in a timely manner
- Process all withdrawals within the day and notify clients upon completion
- Liaise with banks and third‑party payment providers as required
- Monitor and respond to client enquiries via Salesforce to ensure prompt and accurate processing of deposits and withdrawals
Compliance, Fraud & AML
- Conduct general AML‑related transaction monitoring
- Perform AML, fraud, and jurisdictional checks on withdrawals prior to processing
- Monitor fraudulent transactions and take appropriate actions in line with compliance policies
- Escalate suspected AML/TF/Fraud cases to Compliance
- Submit UARs when necessary
- Respond to chargeback disputes
- Uphold Pepperstone’s Terms & Conditions by conducting name matching across payment providers
Payment Provider Reconciliation Support
- Download banking and PSP transaction statements for daily reconciliations
- Identify and correct misapplied deposits
- Process daily cash adjustments
About You
We’re looking for someone who brings accuracy, ownership, and a strong client‑focused mindset to the role.
Requirements & Attributes
- Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus)
- Qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related fields (preferred)
- Excellent communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong problem‑solving abilities and a commitment to continuous improvement
- Ability to stay calm under pressure
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
