About Popular Democracy
Founded in 2012, we work for equity, opportunity, and a strong democracy. We partner with grassroots organizations, alliances, and progressive unions, helping them build power. Our goal is to develop and achieve a pro-worker, pro-immigrant, racial, and economic justice agenda.
As a national organization, we build organizing power through long-term partnerships with community groups across the country. We help our partners win campaigns, advance new policy ideas, and grow their influence. We ensure that our values of equity and opportunity become national priorities by building momentum from the local level up.
This involves working with communities to identify the root causes of problems, agree on effective solutions, and collaborate consistently to achieve shared goals. We also develop and run digital organizing strategies for recruitment, fundraising, and moving supporters from online engagement to offline action, which enables us to run large-scale campaigns.
Our work focuses on Policy Advocacy, Capacity Building, Economic Justice, Immigrants’ Rights, and Civil Rights.
