Job Description
Location: Remote in AZ, CA, FL, IL, IN, IA, NC, NE, OH, OK, TN, TX
Our mission is to promote American values through the creative use of digital media, technology and edu-tainment. We’re proud to be voted among the “Best Place to Work in Los Angeles” by the LA Business Journal 4 years in a row.
PragerU is looking for a Data Analyst to join our Development Data Team — a small, highly collaborative group that supports fundraising strategy and executive decision-making across the organization.
This role sits at the center of reporting, analytics, and operational support for the Development department. The person in this position will own a wide range of recurring and ad hoc reporting requests, build and maintain dashboards on top of our donor CRM, and help ensure leadership has accurate, actionable data to drive decisions.
This is not a narrow “run reports” role. The team is deeply involved in business operations, process improvement, data quality, and internal tooling. Strong candidates are naturally curious, detail-oriented, technically capable, and comfortable taking ownership of important work with minimal oversight.
The ideal candidate combines strong SQL and analytical thinking with sound judgment, reliability under pressure, and the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. We also value people who are eager to leverage modern AI tools and automation to improve workflows and scale impact.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Own intake, prioritization, and execution of data and reporting requests from Development, Marketing, Finance, and Executive Leadership
- Build, maintain, and improve BI dashboards and reporting workflows using Sigma, Snowflake, and Virtuous CRM data
- Produce recurring weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting deliverables relied upon by leadership and the executive team
- Analyze cross-functional data to support fundraising strategy, operational decision-making, and organizational initiatives
- Partner with the Data Team on quality assurance and validation of high-visibility reporting deliverables
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, automate repetitive work, and increase operational efficiency
- Build lightweight internal tools, scripts, and automations using modern AI-assisted development workflows
- Contribute to ongoing data quality, operational, and CRM-related initiatives across the Development department
Successful Candidates Will Possess:
- 2+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, or related work
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases and large datasets
- Experience building dashboards and translating business questions into actionable reporting
- Strong attention to detail and a high standard for data accuracy and quality control
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain findings to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate work under deadline pressure
- Self-starter mentality with the ability to take ownership and operate independently
- Curiosity about modern AI tools and willingness to incorporate them into day-to-day workflows
- Strongly preferred: experience with Snowflake
- Strongly preferred: experience with Sigma, Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI platforms
- Strongly preferred: experience with donor or CRM platforms such as Virtuous or Salesforce
- Strongly preferred: experience working within a ticketing or intake management system
- Alignment with PragerU’s mission and values
